Beagle Canal @ Ushuaia |
There being the most southern point of our trip. We were already at the most southern point of africa and the most southern point of new zealand, so now it is time to go to the most southern point of south america. Of course it will not be THE most southern point but just the one you can reach by normal roads.
We are in rio grande now and will go to ushuaia tomorrow. We heard that there was still snow there so we might have some winter fun in spring!
We are back at our camping spot at puerto piramides on the peninsula valdes. Beautiful whale watching from our windows.
Today we spent time with our argentinian friends Graciela and Adrian. They invited us to join them on a tour on the peninsula in their bus which they transformed into a luxurious camper (including bathtub!) Although they found out that ripio roads are VERY dusty, we had a wonderful time. We saw loads of animals; the kids loved the seals and penguins!
It's official now. We are back on the road. Not that we have driven very far, but the clutch is working again.
This morning it arrived from Bahia Blanca and they installed it before lunch break. They must have wanted us gone as much as we wanted to go! After 12 days of harrasing them, of which 6 days camping out in front of the shop, we can finally continue our adventure. Patagonia here we come!
